Our Commitment to Accessibility
AODA Statement
Wellness Shop is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do this by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).

If requested, Wellness Shop will provide, or arrange for the provision of, accessible formats and communication supports to ensure the feedback process is fully accessible. We will consult with the person making the request to determine their specific suitability.
All feedback will be directed to the Duane Passero, VP Operations within 5 business days and actionable feedback regarding barriers will be forwarded to the appropriate department for immediate review and resolution.
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Full Statement
The Accessibility Multi-Year Plan is intended to outline and identify the policies, processes and plans we currently have in place in response to the requirements established by the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR). This plan replies to all locations of Wellness Shop. This Plan will be reviewed annually, or more frequently as deemed necessary.
Statement of Commitment
Wellness Shop is committed to providing a barrier-free environment for all individuals, including our clients/customers, employees, job applicants, suppliers, the public and any visitors who may enter our premises, access our information, or use our services. As an organization, we respect and uphold the requirements set forth under the AODA and its associated standards and regulations and will ensure that we offer a fair, inclusive, safe and welcoming environment that is respectful of each person’s dignity and independence.
The goal of the AODA is the achievement of a fully accessible Ontario through the identification, prevention and removal of barriers. To meet this objective and the requirements under the AODA, Foss has, and will continue to, incorporate accessibility measures into our policies, procedures, training, websites, and environment. The AODA’s key principles of integration, equality, dignity and independence will be applied regardless of whether an individual is:
- Working within or visiting our office/stores;
- Accessing our information;
- Procuring our goods and services online or in person
As an organization, Wellness Shop is committed to meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities in a timely manner. We understand that providing a barrier-free environment is a shared effort, and as an organization, we are committed to working with the necessary parties to make accessibility a reality for all.

Customer Service Policy
- Wellness Shop has developed and implemented an Accessible Customer Service Policy specific to our organization.
- Our Statement of Commitment is included in our Customer Service Policy and communicated to the public on our website and through signage in our physical locations.
- Wellness Shop has communicated via our website that our Customer Service Policy is available upon request, in an accessible format if needed.
- Customer service training, specific to providing service to individuals with a disability, is delivered to new staff as part of our onboarding process. Record of completed training is retained by the Wellness Shop.
- The website is WCAG 2.0 compliant.
- Wellness Shop has developed and made public a process for receiving and responding to feedback from customers with disabilities.
AODA and Employment
- Training on the IASR and the Human Rights Code is delivered via an online training module as part of the new hire onboarding process. Record of completed training is retained by the Wellness Shop.
- Wellness Shop has developed an Accessibility & Equal Opportunity policy, including a statement of commitment to employees to provide a fair, inclusive and respectful workplace. This policy is provided as part of the new hire onboarding process.
- Job postings advise applicants that accommodations are available upon requests.
- Offer letters advise selected candidates that accommodations are available upon request.
- Individual Accommodation Plans are created as needed, in consultation with the affected employee.
- Individual Return to Work Plans are created as needed, in consultation with the affected employee and relevant medical care provider(s).
- Individual emergency response plans will be created as needed, in consultation with the affected employee to ensure employees with disabilities have access to assistance during a workplace emergency. If a colleague is required to assist in the event of an emergency, disclosure of any disability related information is only provided with consent from the employee with a disability.
All communication, policies, plans and information provided to candidates and employees can be provided in accessible formats and/or with communication supports upon request.
All initiatives, policies and training related to disability are included in this Multi-Year Plan and it is communicated to the public that our Plan is available upon request.
